Dear Customer,
With growing concerns around Coronavirus and the associated health risks, we at Whittan are working hard to ensure that we do our utmost to maintain supplies to our customers, with as minimal disruption as possible, whilst of course focusing on the safety of our employees and customers, which remains our priority at all times.
We are working with the latest government advice and updating our approach and actions in line with this on a daily basis, as well as monitoring any impacts on our supply chain and our ability to deliver to our customers.
Production
We have taken steps already to minimise the possible spread of Coronavirus within our production facilities and protect those most vulnerable within our workforce. This has been done within the flexibility we have, to maintain production levels and supply in line with customer requirements and currently our ability to do this has not been impacted.
We will continue to monitor the situation in all of our factories and have a number of contingency plans ready to utilise our facilities and personnel around the group, as required to maintain supply, along with external supply partners as required.
Supply chain
We are working with our suppliers to ensure continuity of supply in all critical areas and taking action to ensure appropriate levels of stock of raw material are within the supply chain, at all times, to mitigate any short term supply constraints. We have not seen any issues associated with the availability of materials to date and will continue to monitor material supplies and any possible issues going forward.
Logistics and installation
We are working with our external partners in both logistics and installation, to ensure we have a consistent and robust approach to the health and safety of all people who may come into contact with our customers. This includes closely following all government guidelines and proactively taking all steps possible, to minimise the risk of infection and spreading of the virus. We can supply more information on these steps in specific cases where appropriate.
Travel and meetings
We are operating “business as usual,” as far as we can and where it is practical and safe to do so, however where possible, we are utilising conference and video calls to minimise travel and personal contact. We are also requesting that external visits to our sites are either postponed, or use virtual meeting options where possible, in order to further protect employees and sites from unintended disruption.
Going forward
We remain committed to all of our customers, as the UK supplier of storage equipment and can ensure you we are doing and will continue to do everything we can, to support our customers in these unprecedented times.
In the meantime, we hope that you and those close to you keep healthy and safe.
